HOW JF GIVES BACK

SEND- A CHILD TO HIGH SCHOOL IN JAMAICA RURAL AREA

Did you know that public High Schools in Jamaica are NOT FREE!  The cost per High School student is $1600 US per year. The minimum wage is $56 U.S. per week for a 40 hours work week. As you can imagine, it is practically impossible for low income families to send their children to High School. We are committed to making a difference in student's life.

This is where we come in:

Jupiter Five believes that every child should have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.  In order to achieve our commitment, a portion of proceeds from every JUPITER FIVE purchase will be donated to support this cause to Send- A Child to High School in Kingsvale, Jamaica (my hometown) for the basic school essentials.

Our goal is to award 35 boys and girls Jupiter Five scholarships by September 2016.  The scholarships will be renewable annually; the renewal will not only be based on financial needs but academic merit as well.

JF Mission: Once we’ve achieve our goal with the High School students we’ll expand our focus to increase literacy among students in kindergarten through third grade. We want to increase reading proficiently by the end of third grade for children from low-income families.

Our vision is helping low income children receive meaningful access to quality education one parish at a time, starting with Kingsvale Hanover, Jamaica.
